Mug Betting

Mug betting is when you place a legitimate bet to ‘blend in’ with the general public. The reason for this is that if you only ever place a bet with a bookmaker when they have given you a offer then they may pick up on that and think that you are taking advantage of them and they will restrict or even gub your account which means you can still place bets with them but you will not get any promotions ever from them.

There is no right amount of mug bets to place per month. Some people never place a mug bet and some place 3 mug bets per 1 matched bet.

The best thing to do is to not have a pattern to your mug bets.

The best way to blend in is to mug bet on big favourites on high profile games. Bet on well advertised/ promoted games with high class teams.

ALWAYS lay your mug bet off at the betting exchange so there is only a few pence on the line per mug bet.

NOTE: the reason it is called a ‘mug bet’ is because to matched bettors we think that anyone who does ‘real’ gambling/ placing ‘real’ bets are mugs, hence the name ‘mug bet’.
