My Story

However you've found my tutorial site I thought that in this section I will give a quick overview of me and what my situation was like and why I got into Matched Betting and how it's helped.

I am 27 and have never been the type to do a normal “9-5” job. This is why I am in the music business (studios, live gig engineer etc). The trouble that I have come to notice is that the work can be very up and down, sometimes I can be working everyday of the week and others I can be working one day a week so it is just so inconsistent. Of course when you are freelancer and you can go weeks without work (or at least good work) I found myself dipping into money I had saved to top up to pay my keep.

The money that I had saved and was now dipping into to help pay my keep, I was slowly running out of money and there for time till I had to get a 9 to 5 was getting closer. Because of this I was desperate to make some money online and fast!.

I trawled through the internet with search after search, pushing past all of the result that required me spend/ risk money I couldn’t afford to risk as a lot of the stuff I researched and read lots of guides and watched lots of videos but they were all dropshipping, investments etc but all of these required you to have a lot of ‘spare’ money that you don’t mind losing sometime in the £1000’s , something I didn’t have because I was getting closer to having spending my savings on rent I had £100 at maximum and that was scary to me because it was money I had but couldn’t lose. They are not always ‘legit’ or the videos are very misleading or take months or even years to see a return, I needed money asap.

After a good amount of time I come across a thing called ‘Matched Betting’ which stated that I could extract money from bookmakers free bet with NO risk at all and no prior knowledge of betting (apart from the odd £1 bet on a horse at the grand national or a lottery ticket). From reading a lot about it and talking to a lot of people who do it I realized not only could I pay for some luxuries and for me to get my driving licence, i could also, if I put in the time, earn enough to cut my hours at work and have more time to spend with the family or myself.

After doing a lot of research and watching video over and over again. I was still a little worried about taking that leap to actually placing my first matched bet. I even went as far as to send the Oddsmonkey team message asking “when do I know I am ready to start” or “is there anything else that I need to know?”.

After going through all of the tutorials and articles written I finally just bit the bullet and places my first matched bet and it felt great! It feels cheesy to say that but I knew I had finally took the step that would help me financially and take the stress away of me having to pay my keep.

Placing my first bet was timed perfectly because not too long after the world was thrown into madness due to the Covid pandemic and the music industry was the first out and has been the last to return (it still is no where near where it was)

The rest is history I guess.
